The physician will practice full-service infusion and typical outpatient oncology clinic, seeing an average of 14-18 patients per day. Responsibilities also include participating in tumor board meetings and community outreach for prevention and detection services.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO and be board eligible or certified in Hematology and/or Oncology. They should also be able to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa and have the authority to prescribe medications.
Practice includes full-service infusion and typical outpatient oncology Clinic Average 14-18 Patients per day Tumor Board meets 2X Month for Breast and Lung/General 2X Monthly Procedures include infusion, lab, bone marrow biopsy onsite Call 1:6 alternating primary call with back-up call and APP support Large Hospitalist team supports specialists Community Outreach to include prevention and detection services Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
