• Blank Children’s is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our well-established team specializing in child protective services.
• The role provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children by working alongside experienced providers in a multispecialty setting.
• Joining a team of Advanced Practitioners in the well-established STAR Center which houses a Child Advocacy Center and 3 specialized clinics New, free-standing building in West Des Moines Averaging nearly 800 medical exams per year Seeing 1,400 children annually in clinic Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations for children who are victims of sexual assault, physical abuse and neglect Provide specialized care for drug endangered children Work closely with Child Protective Services, law enforcement, and social services to ensure a coordinated response to child maltreatment as needed. Role is 10 hours week with the ability to pick up more shifts as needed

Qualifications
