The Dental Hygienist provides preventive, educational, and therapeutic services to support total health and control oral diseases. Responsibilities include assisting the dentist, performing clinical procedures, and providing patient education.
A current MA Dental Hygiene license and BLS certification are required, along with 1 year of experience in a clinical setting. A BA is preferred, and 2 years of Dental Assisting experience may substitute for 1 year of experience as a Dental Hygienist.

The Dental Hygienist provides patients with preventive, educational, and therapeutic services supporting total health for the control of oral diseases and promotion of oral health. Duties include assisting the dentist; review of medical history and medications; aiding in the detection of oral diseases or conditions; performing certain clinical procedures and providing patient education and reviewing treatment plans.
