The Registered Nurse organizes and coordinates nursing care delivery while monitoring patient physiological and behavioral status. They are responsible for performing treatments, evaluating intervention effectiveness, and documenting clinical observations.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Alabama RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required for this position.
Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. He/she provides direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status, evaluating patient progress and the effectiveness of interventions, and by performing treatments and procedures. He/she recognizes, reports and documents clinical observations. The Registered Nurse participates in orientation, training and management of personnel.
