The physician will evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions regarding patient care in a critical care setting. They are responsible for managing an average of 8-14 patients per day during 12-hour on-site shifts.

Closed ICU Specialists include: Cardiology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, General-Trauma Surgery, Ortho, Urologogy, GI, Pulmonology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, and more.

24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for inpatients Overnight support from APPs

Responsibilities

Average of 8-14 patients per day On-site 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with overnight call from hom 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Full-time is 173 shifts per year Flexible scheduling available ( 7 on 7off, 10 on 10 off) Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

MD or DO Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt) J-1 waiver sponsorship available We offer Shift-based compensation A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in. Requirements

Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care. They must also be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa.
