The role involves providing evaluation and care for patients experiencing respiratory insufficiencies, which includes assessing needs, developing, implementing, and monitoring patient care plans and equipment. Responsibilities also include performing advanced respiratory care modalities, monitoring patient condition, and responding to emergency resuscitation codes.
Candidates must possess the Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC and be credentialed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision, with BLS certification required within one month of hire. Education requires either a High School diploma equivalency with two years of experience, an Associate's degree, or four years of specific job experience.

How you’ll make an impact in this role Lead patient assessments to design personalized care plans that target specific respiratory needs and improve recovery outcomes. Manage advanced respiratory treatments and life-support equipment to ensure stability and safety for patients with complex breathing challenges. Empower patients and their families through clear education, ensuring they feel confident and supported in managing their health journey. Support life-saving efforts as a key member of the emergency resuscitation team, providing rapid, expert intervention during critical, high-stakes moments.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional letter will be accepted until license is issued. Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
