The role involves performing direct patient care duties, including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), taking vital signs, and assembling treatment equipment for procedures. Additionally, the Unit Clerk aspect requires managing the phone system, utilizing computer skills, and being responsible for the surveillance and interpretation of arrhythmias on monitored patients.
Candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent and possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Essential soft skills include excellent customer service, professional phone etiquette, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task effectively.

What to expect as a CNA/Unit Clerk: Perform patient care duties including ADL’s. Take vital signs, pulse oximetry readings, weigh patients and report abnormal readings. Assemble treatment equipment and assist the nurse with procedures. Be able to multi-task and have consistent professional etiquette. Effectively use basic medical terminology. Manage the phone system and have excellent computer skills. Interpret basic arrhythmias. Be responsible for the surveillance of arrhythmias on monitored patients.
High school graduate or equivalent. BLS, required. Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette, and attention to detail are required. Your next move.
