The Phlebotomist collects and processes blood specimens for laboratory testing while ensuring accuracy and patient safety in an acute hospital setting. They are also responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and may assist in organizing blood drives.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed an approved nationally accredited phlebotomy training program. Certification from ASCP or NHA is required, along with the ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

How you’ll contribute
The Phlebotomist collects and processes blood specimens for laboratory testing in an acute hospital setting, ensuring accuracy, safety, and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include obtaining blood samples using age‑appropriate techniques, labeling and delivering specimens for analysis, and maintaining equipment and supplies to support daily operations. The Phlebotomist may also assist with organizing and conducting blood drives, including donor interviews and screening.
