The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and independently manage chronic psychiatric conditions such as mood disorders, psychosis, and anxiety disorders in post-acute and long-term care settings. Key duties include assessing and treating Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD), optimizing psychotropic regimens, and leading behavioral health strategy within assigned facilities.
Candidates must be a Board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with an active, unrestricted state license and current DEA registration. A minimum of two years of experience managing psychiatric conditions in geriatric or long-term care populations is required, along with demonstrated experience in dementia-related behavioral management and strong clinical judgment.
