The Occupational Therapist Assistant implements established treatment programs under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, providing age-appropriate therapeutic interventions and monitoring patient response. This role also involves documenting patient treatment and progress, and collaborating with the therapy team and other health professionals to coordinate care.
Candidates must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of practice, with BLS certification preferred upon hire or required within 30 days. No specific experience is required, but applicants must demonstrate general computer skills, analytical abilities, and strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills for patient interaction and progress evaluation.
