The Device Specialist organizes care for patients with pacemaker/ICD devices through planning, evaluation, and coordination, performing device analysis and programming optimal settings in various settings. This role also involves monitoring device functions remotely and in person, interpreting results, and preparing reports for physician review.
A Bachelor of Science in a related field is required, along with successful completion of training from an approved pacemaker school or certification through IBHRE. Required certifications include current BLS and PEARS within six months of employment.
