The Certified Medical Assistant supports patient care by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording data in medical records, and preparing treatment rooms for examinations under physician direction. This role involves performing multi-skilled activities within a decentralized, patient-centered approach to achieve desired patient outcomes.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience is preferred. Required certifications include being certified by AMT, AAMA, NHA, or MedCA as a CCMA or CMA, along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
