The technologist performs diagnostic CT exams following established procedures, which includes verifying patient identity, obtaining medical history, explaining procedures, and acquiring appropriate images. Responsibilities also involve reviewing images, documenting observations, responding to medical emergencies, providing post-care instructions, and participating in process improvement activities.
Candidates are required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) training by the end of orientation. Preferred qualifications include registration by ARRT in Radiology (R) or CT, along with one or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or advanced certification in CT.
