Description Are you a detail-oriented person who enjoys bringing enrichment and commitment to the daily lives of the elderly? At Viva Memory Care at Dresher, located in Suburban Philadelphia —you’ll be a helping hand in the overall care of our residents in the place they call home.
Administer – Responsible for the accurate and timely distribution and documentation of medication for residents in accordance with each resident’s physician’s orders and applicable regulations. Supervise – Act as the supervisor for care staff on the shift, holding them accountable for resident care and care tasks to be performed. Provide resident care as a primary caregiver or assist caregivers if additional assistance is needed. Build– help form community among our resident population. Document – Report and record observations of changes in residents’ condition to director or supervisor in the daily logbook, Document incidents including falls, and hospital transfers. Transfer relevant information to the next shift through the shift-to-shift verbal report. Collaboration – work with the Director of Nursing / Assistant Director of Nursing to bring life to the community. What you bring: Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in working with seniors. Medication Technician Certification/Observation Notes/Testing Scores. Previous experience in a memory care or senior living setting preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet. Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED.
