About the role

The Physician Assistant will provide surgical assistance in cardiovascular and thoracic cases, conduct outpatient ambulatory visits, and perform hospital rounding. Responsibilities also include assessing new consults in the clinic and hospital admissions, as well as assisting with vein and radial harvesting for procedures like CABG and valve surgery.

One opportunity in Dallas and the 2nd in Fort Worth. Here is your chance to work with highly skilled and trained physicians who use state-of-the-art technology and innovative procedures for patients who are diagnosed with a disease of the chest, heart, lungs, esophagus or the major blood vessels and veins of the body.

Position Details

Full Time, 40 hours per week Surgical Assist in cardiovascular and thoracic cases Outpatient Ambulatory Visits & Hospital Rounding Assess new consults in the clinic and hospital admissions Assist with vein and radial harvesting; CABG and valve surgery Competitive Salary, comprehensive benefits package, CME, Malpractice and 401K Requirements Needed to Apply: Active Texas license Physician Assistant Board Certification and Experience Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an approved PA program Surgical Experience plus 1 – 2 years Hospital & Ambulatory experience preferred Additionally, experience with robotic surgery a plus.

Experience 1 Year As a Physician Assistant. Pref

Licenses and Certifications PA - Physician Assistant Must maintain board certification as required for licensure. Upon Hire Req

Skills Active listening and learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment and decision making.

Supervision Individual Contributor: ADA Requirements Working Indoors 67%25 or more Mechanical Hazards 1-33%25 Electrical Hazards 1-33%25

OSHA Tasks involving exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.

Physical Demands Light Work

Requirements

Candidates must possess an active Texas license, Physician Assistant Board Certification, and a Master's Degree from an approved PA program. Required experience includes 1-2 years of hospital and ambulatory experience, with surgical experience being necessary, and robotic surgery experience being a plus.
