About the role

The Physician Assistant will work full-time assisting an experienced, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon in general orthopedic surgery, including surgical assistance, clinic patient visits, and inpatient consults/follow-ups. Responsibilities also involve planning treatment and documenting all activities using the EPIC EMR system.

Position Details

Full Time Monday-Friday, hours flexible as driven by the OR schedule and need of patients Surgical Assist with experienced general orthopedic surgeon See patients in the clinic and perform inpatient consults/follow ups Plan treatment and document using EPIC EMR Environment that encourages learning and career development. Competitive Salary, Plus Comprehensive Benefits Package Including, CME, 401K, and Malpractice Requirements Needed to Apply: Active Texas license Strong Communication Skills Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program Ortho surgical experience preferred First assist surgical experience required

Education Master's Degree Physician Assisstant Req

Experience 1 Year As a Physician Assistant. Pref

Licenses and Certifications PA - Physician Assistant Upon Hire Req

Skills Active listening and learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgment and decision making.

Supervision Individual Contributor: ADA Requirements Working Indoors 67%25 or more Mechanical Hazards 1-33%25 Electrical Hazards 1-33%25

OSHA Tasks involving exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.

Physical Demands Light Work

Requirements

Applicants must have an active Texas license and be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, requiring at least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant. Orthopedic surgical experience and first assist surgical experience are required.
