The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct or indirect nursing care to patients presenting with urgent, emergency, or potential health problems. This role also involves participating in the organization and management of the physician's practice utilizing basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics.
Candidates must have a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN program and current state licensure, with BLS/CPR certification being preferred. Essential qualifications include prioritizing patient comfort, maintaining strict confidentiality, being highly organized with excellent time management, and possessing strong communication and technical aptitude.
The Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse performs patient-oriented procedures under the supervision of a physician. The CMA or LPN is also responsible for clerical duties, when needed, to facilitate departmental operations and efficiency.
