The technologist performs diagnostic MRI exams, verifies patient identity, obtains medical history, explains procedures, and acquires appropriate images according to established protocols. They also review images, communicate findings to the radiologist, respond to medical emergencies, and provide post-care instructions.
Candidates must be registered by ARRT in Radiology (R) or MRI (MR) or hold ARMRIT certification, and must have one or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist with relevant certification. Additionally, successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) training is required by the end of the orientation period.
