The technologist performs diagnostic CT exams following established procedures, verifying patient identity, updating medical history, and explaining procedures including risks and benefits. They are responsible for acquiring appropriate images, reviewing them, documenting observations, responding to emergencies, and providing post-care instructions.
Candidates must be registered by ARRT in Radiology (R) or CT (preferred) and must obtain AHA BLS certification by the end of orientation. A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or advanced CT certification is required.
