The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides primary medical care services to patients of Sea Mar Community Health Centers in accordance with their training, certification, and Washington State licensure, working collaboratively within a care team structure. Responsibilities include prescribing medication, participating in preventive health programs, and educating patients and community groups.

The nurse practitioner (NP) is part of a care team working to provide quality comprehensive services to Sea Mar patients. The NP will work collaboratively with staff to provide team-based coordinated care.

Education, certificates, licenses, registrations, and medical screening
the Chief Medical Officer; the Medical Director; and the Health Center Administrator or delegated administrator as appropriate.
The NP is evaluated on a yearly basis by staff, peers, the Medical Director; the Chief Medical Officer and the Health Center Administrator.
Employees
Supervised: The NP provides clinical supervision to the assigned staff of nurses and other paraprofessionals.
Interrelationships: The NP works closely with Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer, Administrators and Executive Director to realize the programmatic goals of the organization.

Candidates must have a Master's Degree, be a certified ARNP, and be licensed in the State of Washington, successfully completing an accredited ARNP program. A current DEA certificate is required for prescribing controlled substances, and Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
