The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing supervision in planning and delivering care to critically ill patients, directing and evaluating the care provided by other licensed nurses and personnel. The RN is responsible for educating patients, assessing needs, and implementing, evaluating, and documenting the nursing care provided to each patient.
Candidates must hold a current state nursing license and maintain renewal according to State Board of Nursing standards, requiring a minimum of 2 to 3 years of acute care and critical care experience. Essential requirements include CPR and ACLS certifications, along with proficiency in reading, writing, speaking English, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) performs those activities for which the RN has been prepared through education, training, and experience. The RN provides nursing supervision in the planning for and provision of nursing care to critically ill patients, and directs and evaluates care given by other licensed nurses and personnel. The RN provides education, assesses needs, plans for, implements, evaluates and documents care being provided by nursing staff to each patient.
