The Registered Dietitian/Dietetic Technician promotes individual and population health through nutrition education initiatives for diverse populations in Lake and Geauga Counties. Provides medical nutrition therapy, nutrition and lifestyle education, as well has health promotion in community projects and events. Essential Duties: Performs comprehensive individual and family assessments which include health history, physical assessment, growth monitoring, developmental assessment, psycho-social assessment, assessment of family functioning, assessment for substance abuse or domestic violence issues, and assessment of basic needs including food, housing, income, resources and supports, and access to health care. All health district employees have an emergency response role and may be expected to respond to threats to the public’s health in accordance with the Lake County General Health District Emergency Response Plan; Performs other duties as assigned consistent with position.
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, or related degree, is required, along with a license to practice from the State Medical Board of Ohio; Or Active RN-ANS/BSN license; Also, Dietetic Technician Registered can apply. Incumbent must maintain registration and licensure to maintain employment; Must have and maintain a valid State of Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
