The technologist is responsible for implementing patient care, performing required quality control and documentation, and executing patient exams using PET or PET/CT technology. They must also finalize exams, complete paperwork, deliver images, and provide education to patients and students.
Candidates must possess a required Certificate in Radiology and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Further requirements include obtaining Nuclear Medicine Technician Certification Board (NMTCB) or specific ARRT certifications (Radiography, CT, or Nuclear Medicine) within 1.5 years of hire, along with a State X-Ray Operators license.
