The Mohs Surgeon will provide comprehensive dermatologic services, specializing in the removal of skin cancer tumors using Mohs micrographic surgery. They will manage direct patient care, including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
Candidates must be board certified in dermatology and have fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery. A medical degree and 3 to 5 years of directly related experience are required.

Vail Health-Colorado Mountain Medical is seeking a board certified dermatologist to join our team in beautiful Avon, Colorado. The ideal candidate should have experience (at least fellowship training) in Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery About the opportunity:
Provides comprehensive dermatologic services specializing in the precise removal of skin cancer tumors using the Mohs micrographic surgery technique and functions as an independent healthcare provider.
1. Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population. 2. Perform Mohs micrographic surgery procedures to remove skin cancer tumors. 3. Interpret histopathologic findings of tissue specimens obtained during surgery to assess tumor margins and ensure complete removal of cancerous cells. 4. Prescribes or administers pharmaceuticals, other medications, immunizations, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions. 5. Provides health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. 6. Monitors patients' conditions and progress, re-evaluating treatments, and explains procedures and test results or prescribed treatments with patients. 7. Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate. 8. May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program, patient care unit, or research function. 9. Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required. 10. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards. 11. As appropriate to the position, participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs. 12. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. 13.
