The role involves performing diagnostic imaging exams using equipment like CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiology, while verifying patient identity and obtaining necessary medical history. Responsibilities also include explaining procedures, acquiring images, reviewing results, documenting exceptions, responding to emergencies, and providing post-care instructions.
Candidates must be registered by ARRT in Radiology, VI, or CV, and must complete AHA BLS training by the end of orientation. ACLS or PALS certification is required within 6 or 12 months, respectively, depending on the setting, along with at least one year of experience as an ARRT Radiologic Technologist.
