The Intake Counselor is responsible for promptly answering all intake calls, providing crisis intervention, telephonic triage, clinical assessments, and obtaining admission precertification. This role also involves conducting onsite assessments and developing strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field, along with two to three years of experience in a substance or psychiatric health care facility, including direct experience in various therapies and crisis intervention. Required licensure includes LPC, LPC-I, LCDC, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW, or RN, plus mandatory CPR and CPI training.
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
Two-three (2-3) years’ experience in the area of substance/ a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Combination of education, licensure and experience and/ or student internship hours may be considered.
