About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for administering medication to clients per medical orders, maintaining accurate records, performing client intakes, and ensuring all doctor's orders are followed. This role also involves responding to staff medical needs, such as PPD tests and medical codes, and auditing charts and managing medical inventory.

McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse to join our Opioid Treatment Program at our Statesville, NC location.

This is an on-site position.

Shift

Day

Hours:

Monday-Friday- 4:45am to 12:30pm

Working every other

Saturday, 5:45am to 9:45am The ideal candidate will have prior lead or charge nurse experience, demonstrating strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and the ability to support and guide nursing staff in a fast-paced admissions environment. How will you help us achieve our mission?

You will:

Administer medication to clients according to medical orders.

Maintain accurate recordkeeping, to include notes as required.

Perform intake with new clients.

Ensure doctor’s orders are followed.

Obtain vital signs from clients as needed or as ordered by the doctor.

Perform impairment assessments as needed.

Conduct COWS (Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale) assessments.

Understanding and maintenance of the RN scope as sanctioned by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Requirements

Applicants must possess a valid North Carolina LPN license or an LPN license from another state participating in the multistate nurse licensure compact. The position is full-time, day shift, requiring work every other Saturday morning.
