The Medical Eligibility Specialist is responsible for providing various office and administrative support services, including greeting and registering patients. This role involves determining patient eligibility for insurance and the Sliding Fee Discount Program, and helping patients understand their insurance benefits.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Candidates need one year of experience in a healthcare setting, which is preferred, and must become a Certified Washington State Navigator within one year of hire.

The Medical Eligibility Specialist provides a variety of office and administrative support services, greets and registers patients to determine eligibility for insurance and Sliding Fee Discount Program, and assists patients to understand a variety of insurance benefits.
Education – High school graduate or equivalent. Experience – One (1) year experience in a health care setting preferred. Other Requirements – Certified as Washington State Navigator within 1 year of hire required. Fluent in English and other language(s) preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
