The primary responsibility involves providing expert vascular access services, including bedside insertion of PICCs, midlines, extended dwell catheters, and peripheral IV catheters, as well as establishing access via intravascular ports. This role also requires examining, assessing, and evaluating patients with existing vascular access devices.
Candidates must hold a current RN license in the state of employment and possess current ACLS and BCLS certifications, along with a completed vascular access competency skills checklist. Essential competencies include strong communication, personal effectiveness, credibility, and a focus on patient/client needs.
