The role is responsible for initial patient intake, including checking vital signs and ensuring patient information is accurate. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will handle insurance tasks like obtaining referrals and assisting with medical treatments and procedures as needed.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position, though certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred. Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is also preferred, and the candidate must be able to stand for extended periods.
