Responsibilities

1. Provide individual, family, or group psychotherapy services to children and their families. 2. Conduct evaluations, including diagnostic assessments, to determine appropriate treatment modality. 3. Participate in research and training to develop new assessment and treatment strategies for children, youth, and families with neurodevelopmental disabilities and trauma. 4. Collaborate with the referring agency to assist them in utilizing the evaluation/treatment services in the development of the service plan for the child and the family. 5. Collaborate with the school system to assure that the children are receiving appropriate educational services, if indicated. 6. Participate in peer consultation groups and/or individual supervision for the purpose of review of clinical work. 7. Attend in-service clinical training programs, treatment planning meeting, and necessary administrative meetings. 8. Maintain client activity at the projected level set by the administrative staff. 9. Maintain the medical record for each client seen which includes a treatment plan and diagnostic interview at the initiation of therapy, weekly progress notes, periodic reviews, and termination summary. 10. May participate in the field instruction program and supervise social work trainees when interest and capacity are demonstrated.
