The Medical Assistant works under the supervision of a Physician or Nurse, assisting with patient assessments, treatments, and performing basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Responsibilities also include monitoring patient condition changes and maintaining/stocking medical equipment and supplies in examination areas.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant Program. Required certifications include current Utah CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification, along with a current American Heart Association BLS certificate or one obtained within 60 days of hire.
