The Nurse Tech performs basic patient care activities under the direction and supervision of an RN/LPN, including monitoring vital signs, taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. Responsibilities also involve assisting patients with personal care, activities of daily living, reporting changes to nursing staff, and maintaining clean and stocked patient areas.
Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and must have successfully completed the first semester of an RN nursing program while maintaining good standing. A minimum GPA of 2.50 is required, along with two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from an RN Program Instructor.
