Sonographer

• Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the heart of the Willamette Valley with a wide mix of services, many not typically available in a community hospital: CT scan (computerized tomography), nuclear medicine, echocardiography, family birth center and much more.

Responsibilities

Imaging: Provides quality images with accuracy and efficiency, using optimal skills and knowledge of all equipment.

Documentation

• Gathers complete documentation of all pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers.

• Safety: Provides for personal and patient care and safety using professional judgment in accordance with written standards so there is no injury to self or others.

• Behavior: Practices professional communications, appearance, conduct, punctuality, attendance, and attitude that lead to physician, patient and co-worker respect and confidence.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of accredited (by AMA or ARDMS) school of ultrasound or equivalent experience is required. Licensure Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdomen and OB/GYN (ARDMS AB OB). If proof of registration is not received within one year of assuming the non-certified Sonographer job, the position will be vacated by the incumbent. Current state license in Sonography required for all employees who perform this job in the state of Oregon. BLS/CPR Certification: American Heart Association, Health Care provider level BLS and AED Certification required. ARDMS Breast certification preferred. Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification preferred for vascular clinics. Pay Range USD $48.69 - USD $69.65 /Hr.
