  • Location: This is an in person role based out of Lake Mary, FL Role Summary APG Health is seeking a highly qualified, bilingual preferred (Spanish-speaking) Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD) to join our thriving private practice in Lake Mary, FL. Our ideal candidate is an experienced clinician who is passionate about providing comprehensive psychiatric care across the lifespan—ages 5 through 80—in an outpatient setting.

Psychiatrist Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in the outpatient setting. Provide medication management and therapy to a diverse patient population. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Stay current with advancements in psychiatric treatment and research methodologies. Make referrals for psychotherapy when indicated and collaborate with all other mental health professionals involved in the patient’s care to ensure comprehensive treatment. Maintain accurate and confidential client records completely all documentation in compliance with legal/ethical standards. Advocate for clients' needs and rights, including access to psychiatric services and medications. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Active, unrestricted medical license in Florida Board-Certified Psychiatrist (MD required) Bilingual Spanish speaking provider preferred as based on client need Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances; Minimum of 2 years’ experience treating children, adolescents, adults, and older adults (ages 5–80) in private practice Strong understanding of psychiatrist assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic techniques Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in psychiatric treatment About APG APG Health specializes in providing effective and efficient behavioral health care, psychiatric care and family counseling. Today, APG Health is the largest outpatient behavioral healthcare clinic in the Central Florida Area with providers providing care and support for more than twenty thousand clients.

APG Health provides behavioral healthcare services to Orlando residents that include psychiatric care for adults and children, mental health counseling, on-site ADHD testing, and clinical trials and studies for eligible candidates. We are staffed by over twenty providers, and numerous support staff that include Psychiatrists, Adult Registered Nurse Practitioners, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Mental Health Counselors with a range of specialties in the field of psychiatry.
