• This opportunity is for an experienced veterinarian and full time doctor who is looking to be part of this small animal, state of the art hospital located in West Branch, Michigan.

About the Position

The ideal candidate is a small animal, general practice veterinarian who enjoys: well/sick and injured patient care, routine spays and neuters, GI surgeries, and dentistry. Looking for compassionate and motivated individuals with excellent communication and people skills and a desire to help grow our busy practice. All levels of experience will be considered, but the ideal candidate will be friendly, personable and a team player. Hours are M-F 8-5. We are closed weekends. About the Hospital Our hospital facility was built in 2018 and is well-equipped including in-house chemistry and hematology equipment (and make frequent use of commercial laboratories), digital survey and dental radiology and electronic medical records, all employed to provide high quality and efficient care for our patients and their owners. We have a well-established history in our community and work with a loyal client base. Responsibilities

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems Treat and dress wounds Perform surgery on animals Test for and vaccinate against diseases Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments Prescribe medication Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal Strong fondness and understanding of animals Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of animal behavior Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
