The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in various settings by correctly positioning patients and operating diagnostic x-ray equipment. This role also involves providing necessary patient care during imaging exams to support the diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
Candidates must be graduates from an accredited Radiography program and hold a State of Connecticut Radiographer license. New graduates must obtain ARRT certification in Radiography within 120 days of graduation, and all applicants require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures including but not limited to ambulatory or acute settings by positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment and providing patient care during imaging exams to assist in diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
