The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer II is responsible for providing patient care by performing cardiac sonographer studies for pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves working with the patient care team and offers opportunities for training in Fetal Sonography for those with a strong Pediatric foundation.

The Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer I (RDCS-I) is part of the patient care team and is entrusted with the care of patients undergoing cardiac sonographer studies on an inpatient and/or outpatient basis.
CHOC has opportunities for Pediatric Cardiac Sonographers and Pediatric/Fetal Cardiac Sonographers for Per Diem, Part-Time, and Full Time roles! Our positions allow you to gain experience in both inpatient and outpatient environments, and if you're interested in learning Fetal Sonography, and have strong foundation in PEDS, we are willing to train!
30am and 5:30pm; weekend and evening call is rotated through the team.
Qualified candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000! You must have at least 3 years of experience in Pediatric Cardiac Sonography, and meet the minimum qualifications to be considered for the sign-on bonus.
Minimum $45.72 Midpoint $60.58 Maximum $75.43
Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Graduate recognized program for echocardiography required.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS); must obtain credentialing in Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS
PE) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonography (RCCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) upon hire or must obtain within one (1) year of hire.
Preferred: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) credential by CCI.
