Job Summary The Medical Assistant is an unlicensed healthcare professional who performs routine technical services within the medical practice settings under the supervision of the physicians and medical staff.

This role is also responsible for supporting the front and back office clinic operations.

This is a Per Diem position working 2 shifts per pay period. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, so you must be able to work 2 weekday shifts during this time frame. Pay Range Minimum $23.00 Midpoint $23.00 Maximum $24.00 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience

Required: Minimum one (1) year of experience in front and back office pediatric medical office/clinic setting. Education

Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Graduate of a vocational school having successfully completed requirements for MA. Specialized Skills

Required: Knowledge and ability to provide appropriate patient care depending on age, cultural, and spiritual needs. Ability to set goals and judge results in accordance with the highest standards. Advance care through development of new ideas and technology. Promote teamwork to achieve CHOC's mission, understanding, and exceeding patient and family expectations. Effectively solve patient care and operational problems. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job. Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.

Preferred: Bilingual in English/ Spanish. Licensure

Required: Basic Life Support (BLS); Certified Medical Assistant. Work Environments - Functional Demand: Medium - High energy level Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/- 150-200 lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer 150-200 lbs. (ie. Patient) . Requirements

Requires a high school diploma, MA vocational school graduation, and at least one year of pediatric clinic experience. Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Medical Assistant certifications.
