The technologist performs diagnostic testing, analysis, and related duties within the sleep disorders department, which includes calibrating equipment, preparing patients, and executing tests ordered by a physician. Key duties also involve collecting and integrating patient information to determine specific testing parameters and scoring PSG and CPAP titrations.
Candidates must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). Preferred education includes graduation from a sleep program and an Associate degree, along with a minimum of six months of sleep lab experience in collection and scoring.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to performing diagnostic testing, analysis, and other related duties within the sleep disorders department. May be asked to rotate to other sleep labs to cover staff shortages or fluctuations in patient volume.
