The Licensed Practical Nurse provides patient care under the direction of the RN and performs technical nursing procedures according to established policies. The LPN also assists with education plans and documents patient care appropriately.
Candidates must have a current LPN license by the Alabama Board of Nursing, with experience preferred but new graduates accepted. Additional skills include BLS certification, IV Therapy certification, and the ability to work under various conditions.
Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse provides patient care under the direction of the RN. The LPN performs technical nursing procedures according to established policies and procedures, assists and reinforces routine education plans, and documents patient care appropriately. The LPN communicates and interacts with other team members to facilitate teamwork and delivery of quality care.
Education: Current LPN licenses by Alabama Board of Nursing.
