As a Physical Therapist, the role involves assessing patient needs, developing personalized recovery plans, and delivering physical therapy to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical abilities. The therapist also acts as a teacher, training patients and caregivers on necessary skills to promote independence and productivity.
Candidates must possess a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice or proof of eligibility, along with specific educational requirements which include a Master's degree in Physical Therapy, or a Master's in a related field plus a Bachelor's in PT, or a Bachelor's in PT plus five years of progressive experience. International degrees must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent.
