Veterinary Technicians are responsible for performing basic medical, diagnostic, and laboratory procedures under the direction of a licensed veterinarian, including preparing exam rooms, assisting in appointments, and performing venipuncture for sample collection. Key duties also involve providing and monitoring nursing care for admitted patients, assisting with diagnostic imaging, and performing routine tech appointments like pedicures and ear cleaning.
Applicants must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or nearing completion of licensure in Washington State, with at least two years of small animal hospital experience preferred. Essential requirements include excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, flexibility, comfort with computers, and the ability to work 2-4 full days per week, including rotating Saturdays.
