The pharmacist will fulfill all legal and regulatory requirements related to drug evaluation, procurement, distribution, and patient counseling while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Essential duties also include interpreting physician orders, compounding and dispensing medications, and representing the hospital and PharmD on Demand professionally.
Candidates must possess current pharmacist licensure in the applicable state(s) and are preferred to have hospital pharmacy experience. The ideal applicant should be detail-oriented, possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, and work well within a team environment.

We’re seeking an experienced pharmacist to join our team at Jenkins County Medical Center on an as needed basis (PRN). The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, detail-oriented, strong communication skills, and problem-solving skills. Fulfills all legal and regulatory requirements, including evaluation, selection, procurement and distribution of drugs, counseling and professional consultation Ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as policies of the hospital and PharmD on Demand Interprets physician medication orders Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals and related products for patient care by performing related duties Represents the hospital and PharmD on Demand in a positive and professional manner Maintains customer confidentiality at all times Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices Exercises sound judgment in decision-making Interacts effectively with diverse individuals Maintains professionalism in all situations Uses time effectively and efficiently
