The Anesthetist responds to patient anesthetic needs across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases, administering anesthesia services under medical direction. Key duties include formulating anesthetic plans, performing special line placements, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of care and procedures.
Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia, although exceptions exist for CRNAs who graduated before December 31, 2003, from an accredited program. Required credentials include SC RN-Advance Practice and CRNA-Nurse Anesthetist licensure, with no previous experience explicitly required.
