The role involves performing basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients, including administering therapy, drawing arterial blood gases, and caring for ventilator patients. Responsibilities also include documenting care, maintaining records, assisting with department operations, and providing instruction to staff and patients.
Candidates are required to hold current CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (PALS required in specific units), and must possess the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and an active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in Oregon. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree and three years of technical experience.
