About the role

The Surgical Registered Veterinary Technician will focus on high-caliber anesthesia and preparing patients for surgery, including scrubbing in to assist the surgeon while maintaining strict sterile technique. Responsibilities also involve assisting with instrument sterilization, operating room turnover, client communication, and accurate medical record maintenance.

Partner Veterinary is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Frederick, MD team!   • Our Training Department has an impressive track record of helping Technicians achieve advanced certifications such as a VTS, CVPP, and/or CVRP.

To set you up for success from day 1, We gift you a *wellness week of PTO after 90 days in your position. This includes 30-40 hours of extra time off dependent upon your weekly schedule. Partner Veterinary recognizes the demand that is on RVTs, and this wellness week allows you to rest and relax with a week off after your initial 90 days. What does your day look like at Partner?

The PVESC Surgical Registered Veterinary Technician’s emphasis is on high caliber anesthesia and preparing patients for surgical procedures.

You will scrub into surgical procedures on an as-needed basis to directly assist the surgeon, maintaining strict sterile technique, and anticipate surgical needs and provide instruments, sutures, and materials efficiently during procedures. You'll assist with proper instrument sterilization, surgical pack preparation, and operating room turnover.

In addition to the procedural workflows, you will communicate with clients and the referring community while supporting the surgery team through instrument preparation and maintaining accurate medical records.

You will work with unique and varied cases, and you have the resources that enable optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

About you

  • Minimum 1 year veterinary technician experience Veterinary ER or Urgent Care experience is preferred, but not required Credentialed Technician “in good standing” in your current state and eligible to transfer registration to Maryland Knowledge and dedication to high standard anesthesia and patient care practices A curious and motivated energy Interest in collaborating with the teams across the
