As a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN), you will participate in a year-long residency program providing direct nursing care, guided by a coach to develop clinical judgment and complex nursing skills. Hillcrest Hospital’s 3 West Tower Unit is known for their outstanding communication skills and top-quality patient care. This unit cares for adult and geriatric patients undergoing general, pancreatic/liver, and urology surgeries. As a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN), you will participate in a year-long residency program, customized to fit you, your needs and your pace, where you will provide direct nursing care, be paired with a coach that guides you toward success, develop clinical judgement, cultivate excellent communication skills and acquire complex nursing skills.

00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and holiday requirements.
Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
Document in patients’ medical records
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
