Wake Veterinary Medical Center is a 24-hour hospital providing both primary care and emergency services.
Our emergency service is fully supported by on-site specialty care, including two criticalists, three surgeons, two internists, and one oncologist.
Advanced imaging capabilities include ultrasound, a 64-slice CT scanner, and fluoroscopy.
Imaging services are provided on-site five days a week in partnership with Dragonfly Imaging, and cardiology services are available on-site through our collaboration with CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets.
We have recently doubled our facility space, added dedicated procedure and chemotherapy suites, and significantly expanded our diagnostic and treatment capabilities to better support both our patients and our referring veterinary community. Our ICU is a particular point of pride, staffed by a stable, highly experienced team of credentialed technicians and assistants who deliver exceptional critical care. In addition, a dedicated daytime ICU hospitalist supports the management of hospitalized patients seven days a week, ensuring continuity, oversight, and collaborative case management across services.
