The Registered Nurse organizes and coordinates the delivery of nursing care to patients in compliance with hospital policies. They provide direct patient care by monitoring physiological status, evaluating progress, and performing necessary treatments.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current Alabama RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required for this position.
Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and coordinates delivery of nursing care to groups of patients in compliance with hospital and departmental policies, protocols and procedures. He/she provides direct patient care by monitoring physiological and behavioral status, evaluating patient progress and the effectiveness of interventions, and by performing treatments and procedures. He/she recognizes, reports and documents clinical observations. The Registered Nurse participates in orientation, training and management of personnel.
